Environmental Impact Assessment is activity designed to identify and predict impacts of action on bio-geophysical environment and to interpret and communicate information about the impacts.

Every major developmental project must be subjected to an EIA. This is in line with statutory requirements of the Federal Ministry of Environment i.e. EIA Decree of 1992 and the subsequent “EIA Procedure” and “Sectorial Guidelines”.

EIA is necessary so as to:

  • provide some reference environmental database for the proposed project environment and its immediate surroundings;
  • identify adverse environmental impacts that may be expected to arise as a result of  citing of the proposed project;
  • incorporate into the project development process appropriate mitigation measures; and
  • to assist all parties involved in the project development and eventual operations, to understand their roles, responsibilities, and overall relationships with one another, in regards to the environmental implications of the project

Consultants have extensive experience on EIA execution spanning diverse industrial sectors such as Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, and Power Generation

The methodology adopted by us for conducting EIA studies is presented below:

Preliminary Activities

  • EIA
  • ProposalToRWork
  • PlanLiterature
  • SurveyConsultation
Preliminary Data Gathering

  • Field Work
  • In-Situ Measurements
  • Laboratory Analysis
Impact Assessment

  • Impact Identification
  • Impact Evaluation
  • Mitigation Measures
  • Documentation
  • EMP

Our Consultants employ information generated during EIA studies to complete the following scope of environmental impact assessment studies of proposed major actions:

 Describe the proposed action and alternatives
 Predict the nature and magnitude of environmental effects
 Identify human concerns
 List impact indicators and also determine their scales of magnitude and significance
 Recommend for acceptance mitigation measures/, remedial action, or rejection of part of or entire activity of relevance
 Recommend an environmental management program for the life of the development, including compliance, monitoring and auditing.
The EIA is concluded with the preparation and submittal of the EIA report. The report includes a non-technical executive summary. It also contains all identified significant potential impacts of the development and possible alternatives, recommendation of alternative actions or mitigation measures against adverse impacts so as to enhance environmental benefits. The report also includes environmental management strategy and plan, proposed monitoring plan and environmental monitoring and auditing.

Our Directors/Consultants have been involved in numerous ESIA studies.
